Currently, I am...

printing ebooks. It has been exhausting. I printed one batch when I first downloaded them, but I had to take a long break before I wanted to print anything else. I now have all that I need to print printed or downloaded to the iPad for viewing. Who else likes feeling paper when they read a book?

listening to Farmer Boy on audio with the kids for our last unit in the Prairie Primer. We finishing reading the book in two weeks. We did the discussion questions, but we have not yet done any hands on activities.

planning a unit study on Orville Wright: The Flyer from YWAM's Heroes of History series with Malachi and Eliana (and a row of The Glorious Flight with Bo if I feel better soon).

loving all the April Showers. Just hoping sunshine will bring us May flowers.

watching the kids play soccer at the Y.

bouncing on an adult bouncy ball (amazon aff link - I bought the random colored one because it was the cheapest). It's so addicting and gives me a workout. My legs and core have been sore every day, and it's fun! I bought it for the kids because we needed something else to sit on in the school room. I used to have child sized bouncy balls for the boys when we first started homeschooling, and they loved to sit and bounce on them while I read aloud (and they helped them to listen, too), so I thought it would be fun to have one around. The kids love it, but they are kind of small for it.

feeling the effects of methylation. Some weeks I feel great and then I have a week or two where I feel terrible. I can handle most of of it well, but I can not handle the migraines. My week in the life this past week was not expected (I felt bad all week and did not take many pics), but I had planned to do a WITL this week for a couple months, so I did the best I could.

taking epsom salt baths to help my body detox

hopeful because I'm just having classic side effects of methlyfolate, some of which are insomnia, sore muscles, achy joints, rash, nausea, headaches, and migraines. When I first started the protocol for MTHFR, I had a honeymoon period where I felt really great, but then I began to feel terrible - this is normal. There are things I can do (like epsom salt baths and other supplements) to make me feel better - I just need to figure out what will work best for me.

considering doing coffee enemas, but I'm not sure if I can take them because I can't have caffeine (sorry if that's TMI 😝 but I'd really love to know if anyone knows)

ready to get back on plan with Trim Healthy Mama. After three months of GAPS (and a few weeks of cheating), I'm ready to go back.

drinking Slimming Strawberry Milk. I use plain organic almond milk from O Organics (the only brand I like), 3 frozen strawberries, 1 doonk of THM stevia, and 1 scoop of THM Collagen. This is a Fuel Pull (FP), but I may add a raw egg for an S.

doing a week in the life. My last post should have published this morning because I've had them all scheduled to post automatically. It may seem redundant to do another post today, but it's the end of the month, and I'd like to have a Currently post for each month of the year for my Project Life. :)

  1. I am excited that I scored the Prairie Primer at my local homeschool group yesterday! We are just finishing "Man of the Family" and about to start Farmer Boy... but now got to wondering if the books need to be read in order?

  2. I just wrote about that in a post coming up, that I wished we had read this right before or after we met Almanzo in Little Town. But, I think you could read it an any order! It's really independent from all the others. The other books do need to be read in order though. :)
