What ages did you do FIAR? I am contemplating doing it for 1st grade, but not sure if it will be enough, be complicated to put everything together...? I've been looking through your blog, and I love it!

Brandi, at the top of my Before FIAR page here (http://www.delightfullearning.net/p/before-five-in-row.html) I have several planning posts. This is how I plan for FIAR and you can see it more in action here: http://delightfullearning.blogspot.com/2011/10/fiar-planning-storm-in-night-and.html) I even share a week in the life to see what our week was like (http://delightfullearning.blogspot.com/search/label/Day%20in%20the%20Life). I used FIAR for 1st grade for Malachi and you can see our curriculum line-up here: http://www.delightfullearning.net/p/4k-and-1st-grade-2011-2012-curriculum.html All About Reading wasn't out at the time, but I am using that now for all my kids. A good reading program, and a good math program is all you need to accompany FIAR for 1st grade - it covers all the other subjects and is a great way to cultivate a love for learning! Feel free to email if you have any more questions after looking around! :)

Almost forgot - I use Before FIAR for ages 2-5 and FIAR Vol 1-3 for ages 5-8. I just used Vol 4 this year for my 7 going on 8 year old. There is also a level for older kids called Beyond FIAR. Hope that helps!
