"What if you woke up today with only the things that you thanked God for yesterday?"
What would you thank God for today?
I don't recall where I saw the quote, but it made me think, and as I was tucking Eliana in bed one night, I told her about the quote and asked her what she would thank God for. I will cherish that time as it was a peak into her precious heart and what she taught me.
So many little things to be grateful for:

So many little things to be grateful for:
- for each other
 - for my husband and children
 - for family and friends
 - for a big enough house to live in
 - for heat, electricity, and clean running water
 - for the location of our house (close to the Y, two city parks, city library, a walking path, and downtown)
 - for a husband who does dishes, laundry, vacuuming, and helps out
 - that my husband has a job he loves and can walk to work
 - that our needs are met being a single income family
 - that I get to be home with my kids and homeschool them
 - for the house we are {still} building in Montana
 - that we have an endless supply of firewood
 - for coal to keep us warm through the night
 - for 4-wheel drive and reliable wheels
 - for kids that love to homeschool and love learning
 - that kids still fight over who gets to sit by me at dinner ♥
 - that each bed has cozy warm bedding
 - for my electric blanket
 - for sweaters, wool socks, and warm boots
 - for beautiful fall weather
 - that Dylan passed his college entrance exams
 - for the blessing of being invited back for the 2017 Crew
 - for my blog, the accountability it brings, and the friendships I've made
 - for my camera and online photo storage
 - for my computer and phone and modern technology
 - for books and homeschool curriculum
 - for the lessons we are learning through the Prairie Primer
 - for the memories we make with Five in a Row
 - for YL oils and the blessing of an income to pay for them
 - for affiliate income that blesses my homeschool
 - for Project Life and the inspiration to cultivate a good life
 - for sunlight and the abundance of the earth
 - for wisdom from above
 - for my Father in Heaven from whom all blessing flow
 - and for so many other little things we take for granted each day

It's so hard to stop; once I got started I really began to think of all the little ways in which we are so very blessed.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Dylan!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful list! So many happy things in your list, it was a joy to read.
ReplyDeleteCongrats for being invited back to the Crew! I did not ask to return next year, but I did enjoy my time this year.
ReplyDeleteI always use that quote to my kids! It really helps us dig deep for things we are grateful for - flushing toilets, an oven to cook in, refrigerator, clean clothes, pillows and blankets...once we get going, we can't stop!
Great list! I need to do this again with my children.
