Etymologically Speaking.

I just really can't resist a little more cute seriousness.

The origin of the word remains to be known, but serious is, according to the Online Etymology Dictionary, "expressing earnest purpose or thought . . ."

And from Dictionary.com, serious is deep thought; somber disposition, character, or manner; sincere; requiring thought, concentration, or application.

I am indeed a purposeful and deep thinker with a fairly somber, sincere disposition! And seriously, the more I look at my daughter, the more I see me. And I am learning to like what I see.
