Day Book

For Today. . .
my thoughts on feelin' feminine (see below).

Outside my window...
the sun is setting and there is a slight breeze blowing the leaves on the trees.

I am thinking...
how much I love my family.

I am thankful for...
a clean house.

From the learning rooms...
boys are reading science - Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day

From the kitchen...
chocolate chip cookie dough ready to be baked.

I am wearing...
a lightweight denim jumper and a white shirt.

I am creating...
lesson plans for Mali's preschool - letter W and a peaceful home.

I am going...
to pray more diligently for my children.

I am reading...
a proverb a day. Today, I read Proverbs 20 because it is the 20th day of the month.

I am hoping...
to do some more organizing and dejunking and share what I have done so far.

I am hearing...
the boys read and the hum of the dishwasher.

Around the house...
house is clean, laundry caught up, school room reorganized and dining room rearranged.

One of my favorite things...
quiet times.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
sew a dress for Elli, try a new recipe, make granola, smile at my husband, put in my order at Azure Standard, organize new school supplies and sew a school craft, and get the boys out the door to Challenger Soccer Camp each morning.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Week 1 of "Feelin' Feminine:" I learned that:

  • I can ride a bike in a skirt.

  • I really like my denim jumper with pockets - so practical.

  • I need more practical skirts and bloomers to go underneath!

  • Wearing a cotton skirt is cooler than wearing pants or jeans and feels nicer.

  • Being feminine and modest is not only about the clothes we wear, but the condition of our heart.

  • Wearing feminine clothes is a physical reminder to act feminine.

  • I need to sew button on my dresses so that I can wear my tzit-tzits on the outside (where I need them).

  • Smiling makes me feel more feminine.

  • My boys like it when I wear a skirt.

  • My husband likes it when I wear a skirt - especially the wrap around one. :-)
