Bible in 90 Days Update

I will not be doing the "Bible in 90 Days Challenge" {officially}. To be included in the challenge, I would have to follow the same schedule and that is not possible with the version I want to read because the books are in a different order. I will still read through The Scriptures, but not as a part of the challenge. If you are interested in the schedule I have made, let me know and I will type it up and email it to you.

We are heading out to go camping for the weekend, so I think I will start tomorrow! It would have been nice to have the encouragement, but I will still have the accountability by sharing updates. My plan is to share when I make it to my 10 day mark. I have the readings broken down into 9 10-day sections which average out to be about 13.5 pages a day. I did not schedule in a 2 day grace period, so I will try to read ahead a little each Sabbath until I am 2 days ahead. If you are interested in joining me, please leave me a comment and let me know so we can encourage each other. =)

Have I mentioned that I am very excited to be reading this literal translation of the Bible? :D The National Institute for Scripture Research has "restored the original book order of the Hebrew Scriptures, the Tanakh, and restored the Name of the Most High, YHWH, throughout." (I prefer YHVH, but  that's okay!).

Shabbat Shalom!

  1. I absolutely love the Scriptures, and would very much enjoy joining with you. May I also have the schedule you made?

The Scriptures in 90 days, here we come :D

I am glad you are getting to go camping. I am hoping that means you are doing very well. I also want to thank you for praying for me. This week as far as pain has been better. I started taking grape seed extract everyday, and I believe that is aiding my efforts :D

I pray you have a wonderful time!

Love you lots... Shabbat Shalom :D

  4. I just recently did the Biblein90 and loved it. Since it was my first time reading the entire Bible, I wanted to do it again as I look at passages that I'd breezed through the first time but now am curious to find again. I'd be using the Complete Jewish Bible, but it's laid out in the original Tanakh order, so should be compatible.
And since I listened to all the audio teachings with Bi90, I might be able to help out with when to integrate those, if you're interested.
Please email the schedule and let me know when we're starting (or where I should be caught up to!!)

Thanks and looking forward to getting to know through a journey of the Scriptures!
