On a Date

We went on a date. A real date - where you sit down at a table. (We haven't done this in a LONG time).

Luke and I had dessert at Sanford's (we couldn't eat anything else - everything is cooked with pork - boo hoo).  Anyways, this is where we had our very first date (um, the one where I interviewed him for 3 hours, lol).

Mudslide {for moi}

Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae {for the daring Luke}

10.07.11

This used to be called the Cady House.

We were not far from home, so we walked home to take the kids the giant cookie that Luke saved.  =)

Then we walked back to the movie theatre. Before we moved here, I wanted to live in the country. But, now I can't imagine not living so close to "downtown!" We are close to the public library, the YMCA and 2 city parks.  I don't think we could be in a better spot for homeschooling and activities!

Anyways, we saw the movie Courageous (from the makers of Fireproof). It was good. A good movie for fathers and older brothers, especially. I cried. Luke took the boys to see it on Sunday.

It would be good for Luke and I to do this on a regular basis. I'd like to go to LuLu's next time (where we were planning to go, but the place was closed). LuLu's is a little natural/organic friendly cafe - they make a vegan black bean taco salad with vegan dressing (the only thing clean to eat, lol).  Their stuff is homemade too. It is hard to eat out, but I think it would be good for us to be able to go out on regular dates.

    So sweet that you walked home to take the kids the big cookie and then went back out for a movie.

    Really, I loved reading this. Praying you will have more fun and memorable times like this with Luke!
