Day in the Life: Tuesday

Just for the record ~ Monday this week was nothing like Monday last week! We had a horrible day yesterday. In keeping with Phillipians 4:8, I will not dwell on the bad, just know that we have bad days, too! I am sending up praises of thanksgiving that today is a new day and a much better one already!

8:30-9:00 - Start Malachi on school (Italic handwriting), wash eggs (from our chickens), clean out the trash can so I can put a new bag in it because something was not growing in the bottom of it. . . nope, not me - my trash can is regularly cleaned out and disinfected (not!*), dress and nurse Bo, AAS and Daily Writing with Malachi; Nathan crack the eggs, do LL and help with Bo; Jordan doing a science experiment in the kitchen; Dylan is reading the Vision Forum catalog that he swiped from the mailbox last night and hid. *That is my first attempt at bravely confessing my faults by denying them. ;-) Sorry, I did NOT think to take a photo, because if I did, I am sure I would share it here. :D

9:00-10:00 - Start making breakfast (tortilla scramble - scrambled eggs, cheese, corn tortilla strips), realize that Jordan is doing a rain experiment that I had planned for this week! Drag Mali and Elli into the kitchen to show them the experiment, have Jordan show them the photo of the Water Cycle from his Physical Science book, decide we should start the water cycle/rain lesson today! {Thank you, Father, for ordering our day!} Finish making breakfast, eat, abandon the kitchen to finish school with Malachi (ETC, LL); Nathan is playing with Bo in the living room, finally tidy up the kitchen.

Explode the Code with Malachi {I can read email while he works on this usually}

10:00-10:30 All About Reading (link to my review) with Eliana ~ lower case b and sound of b.

10:30-11:00 Give the kids a small project to do to prepare for a weather activity later (unwind 3 rolls of toilet paper), let Bo help a little before taking him upstairs. . .

"Um. . . "

follow Bo upstairs. . .

Read to Bo. . .

Boaz is teething. =) He had four teeth coming in!

Come back down to find out what all the noise is about, find toilet paper all over the room! Give orders to hush and pick it all back up before I get back down, go back upstairs, nurse Bo and lay him down for a nap. . . and come down to find  Eliana wrapped in toilet paper from head to foot. ha ha.

11:00-11:30 I shower, dress to my shoes.

11:45-12:45 I go to the store, Luke and the boys have lunch, tidy up, he reads MFW to the boys; baby up (1 hr 45 min nap - he should have slept longer, but he was up when I got home).

12:45-1:00 Nurse baby, free time, "Tasty Alphabet Time" ~ "b" is for b-b-banana.

1:00-2:30 FIAR (Weather unit) with Mali and Elli (sneak in a review product with an activity!); Jordan left for the Y to work; Nathan left to mow for his grandmother; Dylan finish up school and help with Bo.

2:30-2:45 Take Mr. Gibson the last piece of chocolate cake (so I am not tempted to eat it!), check out Jordan's truck.

Jordan meeting me on my walk back.

2:45-3:15 Finish up FIAR with Malachi

3:15-3:30 Kids have their Wiicess, I nurse Bo.

3:30-:430 Weather activities.

Working on a Cloud Craft

4:30-4:45 Clean up craft mess.

4:45-5:00 Read email, SIT, kids play, set up the white board for tomorrow's school (water cycle diagram).

5:00-6:00 Clean up school stuff, dinner, clean up dinner mess.

6:00-8:00 Free time, then bed.

8:00-8:30 Read to Mali and Elli in bed.

8:30-11:00 It was a long, but productive day (we have a short week this week, so we did more than what we normally do in one day!). During free time, I strained my back helping a lol (little old lady) who fell couldn't get up (thankfully, she was okay and I was just a little sore and was fine the next day!). I watched a TV show with the boys and caught up on email. I'm uploading photos, talking to dh and eating the last of the chocolate cake (a piece I saved and forgot about!) Need. to. go. to. bed. But, I want to do a quick post to ask what YOU want to see in our day. (See, I wanted to do this "day in the life"  for 2 days to make sure I could actually DO this before I committed to actually doing this!
