I love everything about this season - the changing leaves, the crisp air, the beautiful red sunsets and the promise of shorter, quieter days. But most importantly this season of harvest reminds me to prepare even more for the harvest that is to come and remembering the Fall Feasts of God is one way we can do this.
So, we are looking forward to the Feast of Tabernacles with joy and anticipation this year!
Here is my list of things that I would like to do to celebrate the harvest season:
- Collect wild edibles
- Go on our annual fall hike (and take lots of photos!) (Let's hope it stops snowing first!)
- Collect leaves
- Press leaves
- Cook a pumpkin and toast the seeds
- Go apple picking and make an apple pie
- Dry some apple rings
- Harvest my garden
- Dry zucchini
- Make chokecherry jelly and syrup (they are still in the freezer).
- Do some crafts and activities focused on the Feast of Tabernacles in our homeschool.
- Celebrate Tabernacles, build a sukkah and create lasting memories with my family focused on the return of our Savior, Yeshua (Jesus).
Chel,
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I love Autumn also and looking forward to the Feast of Tabernacles.....be blessed!
Love the list - and you've already gotten so much done! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI have sucha desire to do a study on Biblical Feasts for next year. Or whenever God says, do it! Maybe sooner. I love your list, and I love how I believe this teaches children a fear of the Lord in the most wonderful way. The list is great, and it's fun seeing what's already crossed out.
ReplyDeleteHow do you dry zucchini and then what do you do with it? I have zucchini coming out my ears!
