Project Life 2013: January

A Day-in-the-Life:

A Week-in-the-Life:

This spread is the 2nd week in January, and when I started charting my cycle using the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I had just had my 2nd miscarriage in 6 months, and was determined to try again, but this would be the last try. I believe that God is sovereign and in control of all things, including life and our family size, and I am content with the blessings with which He has blessed us. This spread also includes a date out with Luke (Qdoba, a trip to Home Depot and the Health Food Store), a bike ride to the park in the snow, and snapshots of daily life.

Eliana's 6th Birthday: a Build-a-Bear Birthday (bear and heart theme)

This was such a fun spread to do! Another 12x12, which I am thinking of doing for each child in their birthday month. These spreads include some fun bear and heart themes, some family traditions (one dollar for each age of the child), curling Eliana's hair with rag curlers, birthday fun and lots of pics.

  1. I always love seeing your Project Life scrapbooks!

So sorry to hear of the miscarriage. I've suffered some myself and it's so painful emotionally. Your family is wonderful already and you may be blessed again yet. Sending positive thoughts your way, whatever the outcome.

  2. I am so so sorry about the miscarriage... I know it cannot be easy for you, but as you say we leave everything in the Almighty's hand and let Him guide us; and he definitely has a plan for all of us. I will pray for you. I
I just ADORE the birthday pages of Elli, so so beautiful!

  3. You are such an inspirational mother. Thank you for all you do!

I love the 12x12 photos. Do you print your own photos? The little ones with 2 images on them pack so much into one page.

  4. Dear Michelle,

I am so sorry for your loss. I understand this kind of loss, it takes a piece of our hearts that we never get back until heaven. God's hand be upon you. Blessings to you.

    with love,
    Carissa Anne

  6. Aw, thank you! It was a very early miscarriage, so much easier on me, also, considering the fact that God is the author of life. :)

  9. Thanks, Abby! I really wanted to focus on the life that God has blessed me with - the children I have and it has helped me over the last year. I'm so thankful! I know he has grown me through this too. :)

  12. I'm at the same point with being content with what I've been blessed with. Some days it's harder to accept this than others, but I'm ok :).

I love the 12x12 spread you did with Eliana!! It looks awesome. She looks SO pretty with her hair all curled.

I know it's super hard to keep up with posts like this on a regular basis. I enjoy seeing what you're doing with your PL though...when you have time to share :). I haven't started on 2014 yet. I just got my printed pictures for January and February today. Hoping to make some progress over the next couple weeks. I'm using Jade this year.

Your plan on catching up is a really smart one. I hope it works out well! I hear you on being overwhelmed with photos! I'm trying hard to be very selective this year.

  14. Hi Susana! So happy to see you stop by!! It IS so hard right now! I was hoping to do a monthly share and am already behind. I still need to order Jan/Feb but want to do that this week! Thank you for encouraging me! And I have to have Luke sit down with me to eliminate photos, but I need to be selective too!
