We did some lessons from the LH Guide, some Animal ABCs, and I pulled out our We Choose Virtues and Bo met Kettle Grettle - who is KIND. She makes hot chocolate for the neighbor kids, so we did the same (but for siblings!). Bo sure enjoyed that. (Me too! We made it Trim Healthy Mama style with Truvia, cocoa, cream, and whipped cream!).
Lately, Bo has been crawling up on my lap when I am doing school with Eliana, and asking to do school. I pull out Animal ABCs during these times. Bo also has been picking me bouquet upon bouquet of dandelions. ♥
See our preschool curriculum and plans and a detailed Week 1 to see more details on what we are doing.
~Bo is 3 years, 5 months~
I'm going to try something new this week. I am going to do Letter J and K and double up our lessons. I will not do all of the activities, and I hope to finish LH by the end of summer. I worry Bo will grow out of it soon. He knows most of his letters and sounds, and we will learn them again with All About Reading Pre-1, so I am mostly focusing on the Bible stories with him for our summer reading. I may or may not blog about it anymore. My posts have shown how we use Little Hands to Heaven in our home, and I don't feel it is necessary to continue blogging through each unit. Maybe I will do a picture update at each review?
I just have to say I LOVE your LHTH posts. <3 <3 <3
ReplyDelete"Love it when a plan comes together" ;)
ReplyDeleteI keep telling you this...but I find a lot of inspiration in these posts :) I hope you continue updating his progress :)
ReplyDeleteLove those dandelion bouquets and how fast he's learning and growing! Oh, and that whipped cream face is adorable!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is the photo with the dandelions?? Love it!!
ReplyDeleteDelighting in those dandelions with such a sweet smile! Savor these little moments.
ReplyDeleteI love your posts about LHTH! You inspired me to buy the curriculum, which I will be using this fall for preschool. I really hope you continue to blog about it, even if it's just to share a little bit.
ReplyDeleteQuick pictures would be a great compromise to an all out share for each unit -- it becomes exhausting!! I love that you are focusing on bible stories for summer, I think we will continue to plow through... who knows lol :) That pic of Bo with his socked foot on the table just cracks me up!!
ReplyDeletehehe! I love how laid back he is when we are not at the table. Yes, blogging it all each week really does get tiring - in fact, I'm actually taking a break from school period. Maybe after a break, I will get back into it. For now, we are still reading Bible and lots of books from Sonlight P 3/4, which was in the plan, so yay! :D
ReplyDeleteI know you said you might not continue blogging about your LHTH units, but I keep checking just to see if you changed your mind. :) Lucas and I are on Unit 3 and having lots of fun! I find a lot of inspiration in your posts, thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Holli, I posted an update! :) http://www.delightfullearning.net/2014/07/preschool-with-bo-little-hands-update.html Thanks for asking!
