Natural DIY After Sun Spray

Summer means lots of sunshine and water play and that means lots of sun-exposed skin. We use a natural zinc oxide sunscreen, cover up while we are out, and try to avoid staying out in the sun too long, but sometimes we visit with friends too long at the park or forget to cover up, and that sometimes means just a little too much sun - especially early in the summer when we are not used to getting sun.

So we've been using Pure Aloe Vera + Lavender in a spray bottle to cool and nourish the skin.

I've always just used aloe for sun-exposed skin, but using pure aloe vera juice and lavender in a spray bottle is my new go-to spray for sun-exposed skin.

Lavender is one of history’s most celebrated and versatile essential oils. Today, we use lavender to cleanse, support normal sleep, ease occasional stress moods, and soothe sun-exposed skin. Young Living's Therapeutic-grade lavender is also highly regarded for skin and beauty.

More Lavender tips:
  • Diffuse for a comforting and calming scent.
  • Unwind by adding a few drops to a nighttime bath.
  • Diffuse for a fresh, clean scent and to eliminate odors.
  • May complement some of your favorite shampoos, lotions, or skin care products

Young Living Lavender Farm

Did you know that Young Living is the one and only essential oil company that grows their own plants?  That's just one of the reasons that Young Living is the only essential oil company that I trust for my family.

  1. Michelle, My go-to after the burn routine is very similar!

I use the Aloe Vera (100% like yours), a lavender hydrasol that I can spray on (which of course is in essence concentrated lavender water), and then once those two have soaked in, I do coconut oil. It amazes me how quickly it eases the "burn" and decreases the tendency to peel!

Hope you are having a good summer and that your summer class for YL goes well!
