Day Book

FOR TODAY . . . 2/16/09

Outside my window...

street lights are casting a soft glow on the night sky. Earlier it was a beautiful sunny day!

I am thinking...

that I am ready for spring!

I am thankful for...

my family.

From the learning rooms...

Dylan is finishing up his math from today (so he can have the cookie I saved for when he finished his math).

From the kitchen...

Mama Mia Monday - spaghetti and homemade french bread.

I am wearing...

sweats and a t-shirt.

I am creating...

a felted knit hat (still) and lesson plans for school.

I am going...

to need to clean and reorganize my school room. . . and soon!

I am reading...

Come Out of Her, My People by C.J. Koster. It is "not only a "cry to repentence" for believers to heed the call of the Messiah in Revelation 18:4, but also a factual presentation of well researched material showing exactly which elements in ancient pagan and sun worship were adopted into the Church. . . a challenge to all believers to rediscover the true faith and come out of the confusion left by our ancestors."

Did you know that Babylon means "confusion?"

I am hoping...

that I can be a better witness and effectively share the Truth.

I am hearing...

the turle tank's new water pump (the old one quit working) and Nathan splashing in the tub with Elli and Mali.

Around the house...

The new windows were installed today, the bathroom upstairs is almost done, the electrical work is almost done, the kitchen is almost done. . .yay!

One of my favorite things...

quiet times with my husband.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

plan and host Hebrew class at my house this week, floor hockey games, homeschool, and prepare for Sabbath before Friday this week!

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Have a blessed week!

  1. Homemade French Bread! I can smell it. I saw your blog on the Simple Womans Daybood and like the title of it. I have always wanted to read the Torah because I love the Old Testament especially Psalms. Psalm 51 is my most gutwrentching prayer but the way to the mercy of God. The book you are reading sounds fantastic.

  2. The Torah is wonderful! You should read it! Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) is the "Living Torah" so if you want to know more about Him, the Torah is the place to go. You know when Jesus says that Moses wrote about Him? Well, he did -in the Torah. :-)

Psalm 51 is a great psalm!
